Should I transfer to a performing arts school?

Wilfredo Muldoon: If are not sure what you want to be in life then stay where your are. Transferring to a specialty school will limit your options and will not necessarily help you get into college. What is the quality of a Catholic education?Graduation rate:99.4% for Catholic schools98.1% for other religious schools95.0% for non-religious private schools75.5% for public schoolsPercentage of high schools seniors who graduate and attend a 4-year college:84.9% for Catholic schools61.3% for other religious schools57.2% for non-religious private schools32.0% for public schoolsPrivate school statistics:http://nces.ed.gov/surveys/pss/http://nces.ed.gov/pubs2011/2011339.pdfPublic school statistics:http://www.bls.gov/news.release/hsgec.nr0.htmhttp://www.bls.gov/news.release/hsgec.t01.htmWith love in Christ....Show more

Imogene Neiswander: It would be a good idea, just so you can have that under your belt.

Theresia Fashaw: You do not need to go to a performing arts high! school or necessarily get a degree to make it. If you want to go to college compare the academics of both schools against each other. College want students with strong skills in all subjects and the arts certainly aren't that appealing to them. So if the performing arts school also has strong math and science skills then I say go for it but if not probably best to stay where you are at and get involved in the drama department, dance etc....Show more

Arleen Bussing: yes, you should. you dont want to be stuck in a boring job your whole life, do you? the performing arts school option at least assumes you'll have a shot at doing something exciting. boredom can be as bad as hunger or homelessness, I can tell you.

Nannie Kasee: I really miss attending a performing arts school. It was so much fun. YOu really get to express yourself there. GO FOR IT! You could get a job as a Go Go Dancer at clubs.
