Brian Marquina: A comic strip is a sequence of drawings arranged in interrelated panels to display brief humor or form a narrative, often serialized, with text in balloons and captions.
May Stands: Four or more panels is a comic strip. Sometimes 2 or 3 for gag strips. Magazines have published short anecdotes of 2 or more characters and called them strips. You don't need to do a full-blown narrative in fact having followed comics since the end of the Silver Age I'm really fed up with how MUCH comics rely on narrative.
