How much more salary for a 25 mile commute vs. a 2 mile commute?

Marcellus Exler: Commuting 25 miles is never going to be fun - even in a company car. You can never reduce the 50 mile round trip chore unless you move closer to work. Two miles away - you could walk that and still arrive earlier than the 25 mile drive. The downside to a company vehicle is that you automatically lose the car if you leave the job. You are better off, in my opinion, getting a newer car for yourself if your credit is good, because you might want to move on in a couple of years to a better paying job and need that car....Show more
