Kizzy Hett: You are supposed to backup your data on a regular basis, not when your computer crashes. That way you are prepared. Backup to CD/DVD or to the Internet or to a Pen drive or to an external hard drive.Computers, like any man made device like cars, or TVs are subject to failure from usage.
Sabra Roers: what do you mean by hardware crash ?is your system crashes ?usually once your system crashed all your works that haven't been saved to a media (hard drive, USB drive, etc.) which only exist in memory (RAM) WILL BE LOST and will not be saved either. Including documents, pictures, music, etc...Why does computer crashes ? it dependsIMO basically we can classify it into 2 categories:1. hardware causeeg. physically damaged hard drive (if this happens then chance you'll lose your existing files), damaged RAM chip, damaged main board, etc.2. software (operating system/application) causeeg. conflict resource mapping, overload memory usage, virus effect, accidenatly! accessing critical system data, etc.you might want to read more at:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crash_(computing)...Show more
Oscar Wieland: You need to save it on different hard ware. Some options are burning to CDs/DVDs, buying an external hard drive, or buying a large enough USB flash drive.Hardware crashes because everything crashes. No device works forever, eventually normal wear and tear break everything.(I already have a link to USB flash drives from another question)http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Sub......Show more
Stanton Villao: You need to save it off your computer on a flash drive or burn CDs or an online service such as X-drive. If you crash it could be expensive or impossible to retrieve the data.
